Keep the first dinner near the room. Bow Street supplies river views and seafood; central brick dining rooms suit a quieter reservation before a theater performance or evening walk.
Saturday
Strawbery Banke, Prescott Park, and the South End
Begin at Puddle Dock when the museum opens, continue through the gardens and clapboard streets, then return downtown for dinner or a performance.

Allow from roughly ninety minutes to several hours, depending on the houses, gardens, demonstrations, and exhibitions open that day. Uneven ground, steps, narrow entries, and upper floors affect access in historic buildings.

South End walk
Continue through Prescott Park and the waterfront lanes.
Leave Puddle Dock for the park gardens, piers, Point of Graves, and South End streets. Return toward Bow Street on foot rather than moving the car for another downtown stop.
7:00 PM
Dinner or performance
Reserve a downtown table, then match the evening to the ticket.
Pair dinner with The Music Hall, Seacoast Repertory Theatre, or a river walk. Check last seating and curtain time before committing to both.
Sunday
Breakfast and one final Portsmouth stop
Use checkout time to choose one short museum, garden, neighborhood, or harbor outing. Longer Isles and New Castle plans need a separate block.

USS Albacore requires a short drive and has tight interior spaces. Portsmouth Historical Society and Prescott Park remain within the downtown walking area. Use a narrated harbor cruise only when its departure fits checkout and the drive home.
